What you need to know before starting a Laser Clinic in Queensland

 Now you have your laser license you think I am going to start my own laser clinic.

The things you need to do before looking at buying a laser:

1. Implement a radiation safety protection  plan (rspp) and submit to Qld Radiation health for approval (this could take up to 3 to 6 months.
2. Apply for a possession licence to own and operate your laser.
3. When you have your possession license then choose the laser you would like to purchase.
4. Once you have chosen the laser for your clinic then apply to Qld Radiation Health for the approval to purchase the laser ( warning do not pay any money to the supplier of the laser before you receive the approval to purchase, some will say it doesn’t matter but it does.)
5. When you have approval, you can then purchase the laser.
6. When your laser is delivered, before you can use it you need to have it certified by a Qld Health licensed certifier. This can be done by Cosmelase.
7. Your laser room will need to be certified, and this can be done by Cosmelase.
